What “master replica” means

In Pakistani fashion, a master replica is the highest grade of reproduction of a designer dress. It is made to the reference design’s silhouette, colour and embroidery layout, in the same fabric family the original uses, with the embroidery worked to a comparable density and the garment finished and inspected before it leaves the atelier.

It is a statement about the quality of the reproduction — not a claim that the piece came from the designer. A master replica is made independently, in another atelier’s name. Premium Pakistani Dresses makes every one of its dresses this way, and says so on every product page, in its product disclosure and in its search listings.

Master replica versus an ordinary copy

What to check before you buy

The fabric is named for every piece

Shirt, trouser and dupatta should each have a stated fabric — organza, raw silk, chiffon, net, velvet, tissue, lawn. A listing that only says “premium fabric” is hiding something.

The embroidery is described as it was made

Hand-guided adda work, machine embroidery, tilla, dabka, zari, sequins, stones and beads are different things with different costs. The listing should say which ones are on the garment and where.

Every included piece is itemised

Two dresses can look alike in a photograph and differ by a dupatta, an inner slip or an embellished trouser. Read the included-pieces list before you compare prices.

The photographs are of the reference design

Most replica sellers, including us, show the designer’s campaign photography because that is what the garment is made to match. Ask for photographs of the finished piece if you want to see the actual work before dispatch.

The seller says plainly that it is a replica

A trustworthy replica store says so on every product, in its policies and in its search listings, and never uses the designer’s labels, logos or packaging. If a seller implies the piece is an original, walk away.

How ours are made

Each piece is drafted to a pattern, cut so that borders and motifs fall where they should, embroidered on the flat panel before assembly, then joined, lined, finished and inspected against a written standard. Ordering, stitching and delivery

• Every dress is offered unstitched — the fabric and embroidered panels — or stitched to your measurements. There are no fixed stitched sizes; see the custom stitching and size guide pages.
• Standard delivery is free across Pakistan and worldwide on every order. Standard delivery is free to every destination and arrives in 7–14 working days after dispatch.
• Express delivery arrives within 2–5 working days after dispatch. It costs US$50 for the first piece and US$30 for each additional piece in the same order, converted to your currency at checkout.

Originals and replicas: the honest position

Our garments are premium reproductions inspired by Pakistani designers. They are not manufactured, endorsed or authorized by the original designer, and we do not use designer labels, logos or packaging.
