Do I need an account to place an order?

No. You can check out as a guest with just an email address. An account is useful if you order more than once: it saves your addresses and your measurement sets, and keeps every order in one place.

Question 2

How do I know my order went through?

You receive an order confirmation email as soon as the order is created, with your order number. Payment confirmation is a separate email, sent only once the payment provider has verified the payment — so if you have the first but not the second, the payment is still settling.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Accepted Answer

Contact us with your order number as soon as possible. While an order is still awaiting production we can usually amend measurements, the delivery address or cancel it outright. Once cutting has started on a made-to-measure piece, the cloth is committed and changes are no longer possible.

How do I track my order?

Accepted Answer

Use the Track Your Order page with your order number and the email address you ordered with. If you have an account, every order and its current status is in your account area. Tracking numbers appear there as soon as a parcel is dispatched.

Question 5

I need an outfit for a specific date. Can you commit to it?

Accepted Answer

Tell us the date before you order. We will look at the production window for that specific piece and the delivery estimate for your address, and tell you honestly whether it is achievable. We would rather turn an order down than miss a wedding.

Do you take wholesale or bulk orders?

Accepted Answer

Send us the details through the contact form and choose the wholesale enquiry type. Include quantities, the pieces you are interested in and your timeline, and a person will reply with what is possible.

Question 7

What is the difference between unstitched, standard stitched and custom stitched?

Accepted Answer

Unstitched means the fabric pieces arrive uncut, embroidery already worked, ready for your own tailor. Standard stitched is cut and finished to our published size chart before dispatch. Custom stitched is cut to the measurements you submit at checkout by our in-house tailoring team.

Question 8

I am between two standard sizes. Which should I take?

Take the larger size. A local tailor can take a seam in; adding cloth that is not there is a much harder job, and on an embroidered panel it is often impossible. If your measurements differ a lot between bust, waist and hips, custom stitching will fit far better than either standard size.

Question 9

Can a custom-stitched garment be altered later?

Accepted Answer

Not by us. The piece is cut to the measurements you submitted and cannot be let out or taken in afterwards. A local tailor may be able to make small adjustments on simple styles, but heavily embroidered seams and borders limit what anyone can safely change.

What if I am not confident taking my own measurements?

Have someone else measure you, follow the step-by-step instructions in our size guide, and send us the numbers before you order. We will tell you whether they look consistent and whether a standard size would serve you just as well.

Question 11

Can I ask for changes to the style — neckline, sleeve length, hem?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within reason. The custom stitching form has an instructions field: be specific, for example "raise the front neckline by 5 cm" rather than "more covered". Changes that would cut through embroidery or alter the design of the panels are not always possible, and we will tell you before we start rather than after.

What exactly comes in an unstitched set?

Every piece is listed on the product page, along with the fabric supplied for each. Typically that is a shirt panel, a dupatta and trouser fabric, plus any lining or inner listed for that design. If a piece is not listed, it is not included.

Where do you ship?

We ship internationally, including to the USA, UK, Canada, Europe, the GCC and Australia. The full list of destinations we can currently deliver to is shown in the address form at checkout.

Question 14

How long will my order take to arrive?

Accepted Answer

Total time is production time plus delivery time. Production is stated on each product page because it varies by piece; delivery estimates come from the shipping method you select at checkout. We do not quote a single blanket delivery time, because it would be wrong for most orders.

Do you offer free shipping?

Accepted Answer

Only where a free-shipping threshold has been configured for your delivery zone. If one applies to your order, the cart and checkout will show it and the shipping cost will drop to zero automatically. If you do not see it, no threshold applies to that zone.

Question 16

Can I change my delivery address after ordering?

Accepted Answer

Contact us with your order number before the parcel is dispatched and we will update it. Once a parcel is with the courier we cannot redirect it, and an address correction made with the courier is between you and them.

Question 17

My tracking has not updated. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

International tracking often pauses for several days while a parcel moves between carriers or clears customs. If tracking has genuinely stalled, contact us with your order number and we will open an enquiry with the courier.

Question 18

Will I have to pay customs duty or import tax?

Accepted Answer

Possibly. Import duty, VAT, GST and handling fees are set by the destination country, not by us, and they are charged on top of what you pay here unless checkout explicitly states otherwise. The courier normally collects them before delivery.

Question 19

How much will the customs charge be?

Accepted Answer

We cannot tell you, and we will not guess. Rates depend on your country, the declared value and the garment classification. Your national customs authority publishes the rates — that is the only reliable source.

Question 20

Can you declare the parcel as a gift or at a lower value?

Accepted Answer

No. We declare the actual value paid on every shipment. Under-declaring is customs fraud, it puts your parcel at risk of seizure, and it invalidates any claim if the parcel is lost.

Question 21

What happens if I refuse to pay the customs charge?

Accepted Answer

The parcel is either returned to us or destroyed by customs, depending on the country. If it comes back to us we will refund the price of the goods, less the shipping we paid and any return charges. If it is destroyed there is nothing to refund.

Can I return an order?

Accepted Answer

It depends on what you bought. Unstitched fabric can be returned only if it is uncut and unwashed, in its original packaging. Standard stitched garments can be returned unworn, unwashed and with tags attached. Custom-stitched and made-to-measure pieces cannot be returned because the fit is not what you expected — they were cut for you.

Question 23

My garment arrived faulty or damaged. What now?

Contact us within the window stated in our returns policy with your order number and photographs of the problem, including the packaging if it was damaged in transit. Faulty workmanship, transit damage and a garment cut to numbers other than the ones you submitted are all our responsibility — we repair, replace or refund.

Can I exchange a garment for a different size?

Standard stitched pieces only, and only while the size you want is still available. Custom-stitched pieces cannot be exchanged for a different size, because a second garment would have to be cut from scratch.

Who pays for return shipping?

Accepted Answer

You do, unless the return is because the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered — in which case we cover it. Use a tracked service: until a parcel reaches us it is still your responsibility.

How long does a refund take?

We process the refund to your original payment method once the returned item has been received and inspected. How quickly it appears on your statement after that is up to your bank or card issuer, and is usually a few working days.

What payment methods do you accept?

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Any additional method — such as bank transfer or cash on delivery — appears at checkout only if it has been enabled for the store, so what you see at checkout is the complete list.

Is it safe to pay by card?

Your card details are entered on Stripe’s payment page and never touch our servers. We never see, handle or store a card number, and we cannot charge your card again without you starting a new payment.

What currency will I be charged in?

You are charged in the currency shown on the product and at checkout. If that is not your home currency, your bank converts it at their own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee — that fee is between you and your bank.

How do I use a discount code?

Enter it in the bag or at checkout and the discount is applied to your subtotal before shipping and tax. Codes can have a minimum spend, an expiry date or a usage limit; if one does not apply, the page will tell you why.

Can I wash an embroidered outfit at home?

Accepted Answer

We do not recommend it. Embroidered and embellished pieces should be dry cleaned by someone who has worked with beadwork before. Machine washing loosens embroidery, distorts the panel and can bleed colour across the garment.

Question 32

There is a loose thread or a stone has come away. Is that a fault?

Accepted Answer

A small amount of movement is normal on hand-worked embroidery, and most pieces are made with a little extra thread and a few spare embellishments where the design allows. Never pull a loose thread — cut it flush. If several stones have come away, or a seam is open, that is a fault and we want to see photographs.

How should I store a heavily embroidered outfit?

Store it inside out in a breathable cotton or muslin cover, never sealed plastic. Hang light pieces on a padded hanger and fold heavy lehengas flat with acid-free tissue between the folds so the weight of the work does not stretch the fabric.

Is there anything I should do before the first wear?

Accepted Answer

Take it out of the packaging a few days early, hang it so the creases drop, and press it on the reverse through a cotton cloth with a warm — not hot — iron, avoiding the embroidery. Then try the whole outfit on, with the shoes you plan to wear, while there is still time to raise anything.
