A mehndi outfit that behaves like one: hot pink over marigold orange, with gold work running through both so the two colours read as a pair rather than a clash. The front panel is handworked, the side panels carry booti and chata patti, and a handworked daman border closes the hem.
The sleeves are embroidered and sequined to match, and the dupatta is printed rather than embroidered — its centre panel scattered with gold crystals and its edges finished in gota and sheesha work. Three pieces in all, for the function it is named after.
