A full-length shirt in mauve tissue zari — a cloth shot through with metallic thread, so the ground itself carries a shifting sheen before any embroidery is added to it. Gold work runs down the placket and around the neckline, and the body is scattered with floral sprays worked in sequins, pearls and small turquoise accents.

Those turquoise notes are the reason the dupatta is turquoise too: a contrasting tissue drape that picks up the colour hiding in the embroidery rather than matching the shirt. A tissue zari trouser completes the three pieces. Cut long and straight, it is a formal for a nikkah, an Eid dinner or a wedding you are attending.
