Dastan-e-Jashan

A three-piece in a pale aqua blue chiffon, embroidered where it counts — around the neckline, down the sleeves and along the borders — and hand-worked over the embroidery so the focal panels stand slightly proud of the cloth.

The dupatta is the deliberate contrast: a warm gold organza against a cool blue shirt, a pairing that stops a pastel suit from reading as washed out. With a straight trouser beneath, it is cut for a walima, a mehndi or an Eid lunch rather than for anything that asks to be the centre of the room.
